About Our Pastor

Rev. LaDelle Feemster Brooks
The Bishop John R. Schol of the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church appointed Pastor LaDelle Brooks as the pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church, Frederick, Maryland on July 1, 2008.
A native of Waldorf, Maryland, Pastor Brooks attended Frostburg State University, Frostburg, MD and earned a bachelor of science in psychology and earned a master of divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington, DC. While attending Frostburg State University, she was licensed to preach by the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church and later ordained an itinerant deacon and elder by the AME Church.
Pastor Brooks served as assistant pastor at Emory United Methodist Church, Washington, DC since 2004. Before serving at Emory UMC, she was employed as the administrative assistant of Theological Education and Leadership Development Programs at the Congress of National Black Churches, Inc. and as the Executive Director of the Emory Beacon of Light Inc.
Her ministry includes opportunities in missions which include trips to native american reservations in Arizona, a trip to South Africa and a one-year mission trip to Kenya, East Africa where she taught church history, biblical interpretation and psychology at the Kenya Highlands Bible College.
Her passions include preaching, teaching, discipleship and mission.
She is currently attending Wesley Theological Seminary pursuing a doctorate of ministry degree studying leadership in multi-ethnic settings.
Asbury is blessed to have this dynamic pastor as our spiritual leader.
