Golden Connection – Our mission and vision is to have a spiritual, physical, and social relationship with other seniors; Empower the aging to identify their strengths and contributions to the church and community; Present ourselves as role models for our youth. Serve our seniors through outreach, love, and concern with phone calls, visits, hospital visits, greeting cards, and lend assistance. We take day long group trips by way of the  Amtrak train to Union Station.

Intentional Faith Development - Through Christian education, each of us grows in our knowledge of what it means to be the people of God in our world. We equip the church and community with the word of God so that we may be able to develop a closer spiritual relationship with God through our understanding of the word and fulfill our purpose for which He made us.

We offer education for children and youth, at church each Sunday during the church service (except for the second Sunday). In our adult gatherings, we seek to keep present the mystery of God’s presence in our lives as we explore, question, and talk together. We offer the following bible studies and prayer group meeting(s):

• Adult Bible Study at 9:00 a.m. at church each Sunday
• Effective Stewardship Bible Study (6 weeks each during the Spring and Fall)
• Fully Alive: Unfolding God’s Call Bible Study (4 weeks a year)
• TGIF/BYOB Friday weekly Bible Study @ 7:00pm
• Tuesday Evening prayer group meeting @ 6:30pm
• Men’s Bible Study Monday @ 7:00pm
• Vacation Bible School for one week during June

Youth Ministries - The Gospel has a message to children. The Youth Ministry is committed to helping youth grow spiritually and closer to God. We will also learn religious principles, and the application of such in practical situations, which confront them on a daily basis. We have many exciting events planned: Mission Trip; retreats (The Rock); R.E.C. Night; Living Vines Ministry; Holy Ghost Parties; end of Summer Blast; serve in the Big Sweep; lead worship service; back-to-school blessing; community clean-up day; and movie night. We will try and ATTRACT the youth to AUMC, RETAIN them, and then TEACH them. We will GROW our youth and offer them what their hearts are looking for, and along the way give them what they need.

Children’s Ministries – “At The Well” meets one Monday out of each month. Plan and advocate for children in the areas of faith development, safety, and discipline. Provide children with safe environment so they can come and learn the ways of Jesus Christ; educate the youth in the teachings of the bible and show them the bible is where we learn our daily living.
